Several chairs and sofas by Erik Jorgensen have already become classics.

Erik Jorgensen furniture is frequently used by actors, pop idols and heads
of government. Jack Nicholson was one of the first major stars to sit in a
chair by Erik Jørgensen when he first leaned back in a Corona in the film
“Carnal Knowledge” from 1971. The list goes on, and there are
countless examples of music videos and fashion shoots in which Corona or
Oxchair have been showcased.
The beginning:
The Danish upholsterer Erik Jorgensen started his production of furniture
back in 1954. Ever since they have produced furniture true to his ideas.

· Erik Jorgensen: Trained upholsterer and saddler. Born 1928 —
died 1998.
· Erik Jorgensen Moebelfabrik: Established 1954, Svendborg. Present head
office and production in Tved north of the town of Svendborg. Currently
has 60 employees and exports to most of Europe as well as The United
States and Japan.
· Most famous furniture: Oxchair by Hans J. Wegner, Corona by Poul M.
Volther, EJ 220 by Erik Jorgensen and Partner by Johannes Foersom and
Peter Hiort-Lorenzen.
· Has delivered furniture for: EU summit in Copenhagen, 2002. Hilton
Hotel, Kastrup. Financial centers of Danske Bank. Telenord headquarters,
